Costs for connecting to our network
There are costs involved when connecting to our water or sewerage network. The fee for a standard connection is based on the type and size of service you request (water, sewerage, or fire service). You can choose the size during your application, or we can help you determine the most suitable option.
Key points:
- Connection fees: These are determined by the type and size of your service. For a detailed breakdown of connection costs and any potential additional fees, please refer to our fees and charges.
- Connections Estimator Map: Use this tool to check if services are available in your area and estimate the distance required for the connection. If your property requires an extension or upgrade, you’ll be responsible for those additional costs.
- Extra costs may apply if:
- The connection from the main to your property exceeds 12 metres.
- The depth of the connection is 3 metres or more.
- There are difficult construction conditions (e.g., underground services, trees, rocks, or traffic management requirements).
You can find more details about standard and non-standard connections here.
Fees and process:
- A $103 lodgement fee is required when submitting your application. This covers the cost of assessing your request.
- After we assess your application and complete a site visit, we will provide a fixed-price invoice. If your project moves forward, the lodgement fee will be deducted from the final construction cost.
- Any financial quote provided is valid for 60 days from the issue date.
Augmentation charges may also apply in certain areas throughout the state.
