Drinking water for community events
Drinking water for community events
Our Quench Benches are one of the simplest ways to offer drinking water at your community events. They are available in Metro Adelaide, Riverland, Yorke Peninula and Port Lincoln for community events expecting more than 1000 attendees - and they are free of charge!
The Quench Bench is mounted on a portable trailer that is fitted with troughs and taps. All you need is access to the mains water supply, and we will install it for you prior to your event.
For events in metropolitan Adelaide with less than 1,000 attendees, we may be able to provide a water fountain instead.
Your site requirements
To use our Quench Bench or water fountains, your event site requires:
- a flat site for its location – the Quench Bench is 5m (length) x 3m (height) x 2.5m (width); a portable fountain is 0.5m (length) x 1.3m (height) x 0.23m (width)
- a drive-through site, as the trailer can't be reversed or moved by hand
- access to an SA Water drinking water mains connection point within 5 metres
- an event manager to help with directions, parking, and set up and pack down (preferably during business hours).
We may need to conduct a site audit prior to your event to ensure your drinking point and site access meet our requirements.
How to book
To apply, please complete and return the following application form at least three weeks before the event. All booking requests are assessed on a case-by case basis, and subject to availability.
