It’s time to save water

Securing our water future by making small, impactful changes

Eyre Peninsula water security

A hotter and drier climate and an increase in demand for water is reducing available sources of water in the Eyre Peninsula.

Our Water Security Response Plan describes how we will maintain water supply until the new desalination plant is operational while ensuring the ongoing health of local groundwater basins.

The plan outlines four water security response levels and actions required to be taken by the community based on drinking water availability, ranging from normal water availability to an extreme water shortage.

The Eyre Peninsula water security response level has moved to level 2 - save water. This means water resources meet current demand but there is limited opportunity to support growth. We all have a role to play in understanding how much water we are using and identify ways to reduce our water use with our water wise and water saving options.

Find hidden water savings at home - calculate your home water use

Water calculator for your home and garden

Our home water calculator helps you understand how much water you use in your home.

It compares your water use against the average in your area and gives a goal to reduce your use if you are a high water user.

Once you have identified water saving opportunities in your home, our rebates can support you to install water efficient appliances and household fixtures, helping you save water and money.

Unlock savings with rebates
