Murray Darling Basin Plan water trading rules

We are not expecting to have Southern Murray Darling Basin allocations which are surplus to requirements in 2024-25. We will be managing the available water allocations to meet our Critical Human Water Needs requirements. This is based on current allocations and expected customer demands as well as other obligations for the remainder of the year.

Water allocations are managed to ensure reliable source water availability in line with customer expectations. When water allocations are not required for water security of our customers, they are made available to the market. This announcement may be updated if customer demands or allocation availability change significantly.
