How do I change my name on my account?
To update the name on your SA Water account, we need proof of your name change. You can provide this by attaching a copy of your driver's licence showing the new name through our general enquiry webform.
If you don't have a driver's licence, you can submit any of the following documents instead:
- Birth certificate issued by an Australian Births, Deaths, and Marriages office showing both your name at birth and your new name
- Marriage certificate issued by an Australian Births, Deaths, and Marriages office
- Change of name certificate issued by an Australian Births, Deaths, and Marriages office
- Divorce papers (Decree Nisi or Absolute) issued by an Australian court, showing the name you're reverting to
- Adoption papers issued by an Australian court
- Current passport
Once we receive and verify the documentation, we will update your billing details so that future bills are addressed in the correct name. For security, all identifying information will be deleted from our records after it's reviewed and noted.
