What information we collect

We collect personal information about you when you engage with us directly, via a third party, (such as a recruiter) or a person acting on your behalf who has authority to do so and shared it with us (such as under a power of attorney), or via a platform we operate.

Personal information we collect from you includes but is not limited to:

  • information contained in identity documents (for example your driver’s licence or passport)
  • information about your identity, such as your contact details (including your address, email and mobile number)
  • personal views, experiences, opinions, attitudes, behaviours, and preferences
  • information about your employment history, skills and qualifications.

If you give us information about others, you must have authority to do so and tell them what is in this notice.

For what purposes do we collect personal information?

The purpose of collecting your personal information is:

  • to fulfil our statutory functions and responsibilities and facilitate compliance with the law
  • to confirm your identity and manage our relationship with you, including contacting you about any services we have provided you
  • for research, coaching and training purposes, which help us understand our customers’ experiences of our services and how we can improve our services for all our customers
  • to identify, manage and minimise security risks and prevent fraud, scams and other authorised activities
  • to assess your qualifications and experience related to a job opportunity with us

for any other purpose set out in our Privacy Policy.

What if we didn’t collect this personal information?

Without your personal information we may not be able to process your job application or request, perform our statutory functions, or provide you with some or all of our services.

If we send a survey, your response is completely voluntary. If you don’t complete a survey, this will not change anything regarding an account you may have with us.

To whom will your personal information be disclosed?

The information held about you will only be retained for as long as required for the purpose it was collected. We will not disclose your personal information to anybody else unless you have given consent, or we are authorised or required to do so by law.

The information we collect about you in surveys or research purposes may be gathered via third party platforms such as Qualtrics and that information is held within Australia.

    We’re improving your services and undertaking maintenance work in Elizabeth East. Sometimes our crews need to temporarily interrupt the water supply to our customers and/or manage traffic while they are working. Temporary traffic management may remain in place until reinstatement of the impacted road is complete. We always aim to minimise inconvenience by restoring services as safely and quickly as we can.
