SA Water partners with CHATS for LIV Golf

A tee-riffic new partnership will ensure LIV Golf "putters” won’t have to go a “fairway” to stay hydrated, as SA Water partners with South Australian charity Community Help and Togetherness (CHATS) to provide drinking water at this month’s event in Adelaide.

The iconic blue BYOB reusable drink bottles will be available for a $5 donation from SA Water’s popular vintage caravan Miss Isla, with all proceeds going to not-for-profit CHATS to support its work helping people living rough in Adelaide’s western suburbs.

Free fruit-infused water will also be provided from Miss Isla, along with fresh water from SA Water’s on-site Quench Bench and drinking fountains.

SA Water’s Brand and Community Connection Manager Kellie McDonald said this marks the first time SA Water will have a presence at LIV Golf in its three-year history, and CHATS is a worthy charity partner.

"We are pleased to support CHATS, with all proceeds to go directly towards their operations which have recently expanded into Port Adelaide," Kellie said.

“We are excited to be at LIV Golf, an event that is only growing in popularity and so a great opportunity for us to promote the cost and environmental benefits of reusable water bottles.”

CHATS chair Rose Darling said she’s thrilled at the partnership with SA Water to help expand how it operates in Port Adelaide and the western suburbs.

“Donations from SA Water’s popular BYOB bottles will directly support CHATS to continue providing free breakfasts every Friday morning, where we are seeing more and more people every week,” Rose said.

“It will also support our shop in Port Adelaide run by dedicated volunteers who give food hampers, clothing, shoes and bedding, among other items, to people who come to our breakfasts.”

For safety reasons, metal water bottles are not allowed at LIV Golf, however reusable plastic water bottles can be refilled for free with water from SA Water’s Miss Isla caravan, and Quench Benches, and water fountains located around the greens at the Grange Golf Club.
