SA Water and Camp Quality bottling the joy

Festive revellers heading to this weekend’s National Pharmacies Christmas Pageant are encouraged to donate $2 and receive one of SA Water’s reusable BYOB water bottles, with the proceeds going to Camp Quality.

SA Water’s friendly staff will be collecting donations at three Quench Benches located at Victoria Square, near the corner of Grenfell and Pulteney Streets, and the corner of Kintore Avenue and North Terrace, where jolly spectators can then fill up their new water bottles for free.

Camp Quality Chief Executive Officer Kylea Tink is delighted they’re partnering with SA Water this year to help expand their volunteers’ fundraising efforts at the Pageant.

“Every child across Australia impacted by cancer, be it their own diagnosis or that of someone they love, should have the chance to just be a kid,” Kylea said.

“Raising funds and awareness enables our dedicated staff and volunteers to continue being there for those kids and their families through the daily ups and downs of cancer with opportunities to laugh, make new friends and have exciting adventures.

“The generosity of Pageant-goers has been overwhelming in the past, and with the help of SA Water this weekend, we’d love to top our previous record of $30,000 in donations.”

Official Charity Partner of the National Pharmacies Christmas Pageant, Camp Quality supports children and their families from the first experience of cancer, and through every stage, by creating positive memories that change the story for them; in-hospital, at home, at school and away from it all.

SA Water General Manager of Customers, Strategy and Innovation Anna Jackson said SA Water staff are eager to rally behind the children’s cancer charity and support their inspirational work.

“Camp Quality plays a vital role in being there for families and sparking joy and resilience in children, and it’s a privilege to team up and help them continue spreading laughter and hope,” Anna said.

“Having reusable rather than single-use bottles is also a win for the environment, and with our three Quench Benches, it’s even easier for people to fill up with safe, clean tap water for free and keep hydrated.”

Camp Quality will also have volunteers all along the route for the community to donate with either a gold coin or tap-and-go payment.
