The water from your tap is safe to drink. We work hard to ensure that the water supply meets the highest safety and quality standards. Our rigorous testing and treatment processes make sure your water is clean and safe.

What signs might indicate a water quality issue?

If you notice any unusual changes in your water, such as:

  • Odour: A strange or strong smell coming from your tap water.
  • Cloudy water: Water that continues to appear cloudy or milky after the tap has been running for a couple of minutes.
  • Dirty water: Water from the mains tap appears dirty, not clear.
  • Unusual taste: A metallic or otherwise unusual taste in your drinking water.
  • Health concern: You have reason to believe the water is a health concern for other people, animals or plants.

These are potential indicators of water quality issues. We treat all these cases as a priority and may need further information.
