Myponga Reservoir

Myponga reservoir is nestled near the township of Myponga on the Fleurieu Peninsula. It is about an hour’s drive south of Adelaide.

The reservoir was built between 1958 and 1962, at a time of rapid economic expansion in South Australia.

About the Myponga Reservoir

The construction of Myponga reservoir increased the state’s storage capacity by around 45 million litres, supporting population growth and the expansion of industry in Adelaide’s south.
