mySAWater competition terms and conditions

Terms and Conditions

By submitting an entry for the SA Water mySAWater Sign Up Competition 2021 you agree to be bound by these rules:

1. Interpretation of rules

1.1 “Competition Period” means the period commencing at 9.00am Australian Central Summer Time on Thursday 1 April 2021 and ending at 5.00pm Australian Central Summer Time on Friday 9 July 2021.

1.2 “SA Water” means South Australian Water Corporation (ABN 69 336 525 019)
1.3 “Participant” means any mySAWater account holder over the age of 18 who enters the competition.

2. Compliance

This competition is classified as a Minor Trade Promotion Lottery under the Lottery and Gaming Regulations 2009 (South Australia) and meets all the regulations therein.

3. Who can enter

Any Participant who is over the age of 18 and creates a mySAWater account during the competition period will be entered into the competition during the competition period, with the exception of:

3.1  members of SA Water's Board
3.2 SA Water staff and their immediate families
3.3 other external parties associated with the competition.

4. Eligibility

4.1 To be eligible, a Participant must:

4.1.1 hold a current SA Water billing account
4.1.2 have signed up to SA Water's eBilling platform by creating a mySAWater account during the competition period
4.1.3 maintain their mySAWater account for a minimum of seven days from the date at which they signed up.
4.1.4 have signed up to receive their water bill via email (either via mySAWater or through eBilling) during the competition period
4.1.5 maintain their electronic billing preference during the competition period.

4.2 A Participant cannot enter more than once.

5. Prizes

5.1 Five (5) $500 cash card (eftpos).

5.2 SA Water accepts no responsibility for any variation in prize value.

5.3 Prizes may not be transferred or redeemed for actual cash.

5.4 In the event that the prizes become unavailable due to circumstances beyond SA Water's control, SA Water reserves the right to provide alternative prizes of equal value to the original prizes.

5.5 The winning Participants will be contacted by an SA Water representative by phone or email.

5.6 Prizes will be posted to the winning Participants unless alternative arrangements are agreed on.

5.7 By entering the competition, Participants are eligible to win one (1) prize only.

6. Drawing of winners

6.1 The winners will be randomly selected using an approved electronic drawing system as required by the Lottery and Gaming Regulations 2009 (South Australia) Act.

6.2 The draw will take place on Monday 12 July 2021 12:00pm at SA Water House, 250 Victoria Square Adelaide SA 5000.

6.3 Prize winners will be notified by phone or email address as specified in their SA Water account details. Public announcement of the winners will be published on www.sawater.com.au within 30 days after the winners have been notified.

6.4 If a winner does not respond to SA Water within 14 days of being notified by SA Water, then the prize will be forfeited and SA Water shall be entitled to select another winner. That winner will have to respond to notification of their win within 14 days or they will also forfeit their prize.

6.5 If a winner rejects their prize or the entry is invalid or in breach of these Terms and Conditions, the winner’s prize will be forfeited and SA Water will be entitled to select an alternate winner.

6.6 All winning selections are final and SA Water will not enter into any correspondence regarding the outcome.

7. Non-compliance with terms and conditions

7.1 Failure to comply with these Terms and Conditions may result in the ineligibility of the Participant.

7.2 If a winning Participant  fails to comply with these Terms and Conditions, the Participant may be deemed ineligible and the competition redrawn, with the prize provided to another Participant.

8. Cancellation

SA Water reserves the right to cancel the competition at any time and is not liable to any entrant in relation to such a cancellation.
