Engineering standards
A suite of Technical Governance documents has been developed to support the design, construction, operation and maintenance of SA Water’s $6 billion infrastructure portfolio. Further detail regarding the creation and update of these documents can be found in SA Water Technical Guideline TG 0103 – Approach to Technical Governance.

Dispensation Requests
SA Water has established a Dispensation Procedure (V4.0) for managing SA Water's technical requirements. Applicants should familiarise themselves with the procedure and use the request form to submit applications for consideration.
SA Water’s dispensation process will be closed for the Christmas/New Year break from the 15th of December 2024, and will re-open on the 6th of January 2025. Submissions made during the closure period will be actioned when the process re-opens in 2025.

Sometimes our crews need to temporarily interrupt the water supply to our customers and/or manage traffic while they are working. Temporary traffic management may remain in place until reinstatement of the impacted road is complete.
