SA Water's Business Sustainability Group (BSG) is available to assist commercial and industrial customers with direction and advice on improving their water use efficiency and wastewater quality.
Through the Water Efficiency Plan Program the BSG will be collecting data and observing areas for improvements in water efficiency and wastewater quality. Currently the BSG is reviewing the potential to develop forums, workshops and information sessions on areas where it has been identified that support is required.

- Liquid High Strength Organic Waste Disposal Project
- National Business Water Efficiency Benchmark Project
SA Water has partnered in the national project with other water utilities across Australia along with the Water Services Association of Australia (WSAA). The primary objective of this project is to develop sector and region specific industry benchmarks for business water and wastewater efficiency which will ultimately be available through NBWeb; an online tool to help customers gain more of an understanding about water efficiency for their industry. It will also take into account the fine balance between water efficiency and trade waste discharge concentration, feeding into projects aimed at improving trade waste discharge quality. Opportunities exist for businesses to be involved in this project. For further information on the project as well as on how to become involved, please view the National Business Water Efficiency Benchmark Project information sheet. |
